DREAMSCAPES:The sights you see
A downloadable game
Night approaches, the stars are becoming visible in the sky. It is almost time to go on a journey once again. Towards the land of dreams and it’s strange, wondrous dreamscapes...
This is a solo art prompt Carta game where you are a dreamer who is capable of traveling to different lands via dreams. Traverse the board to draw the scenes you see, with total freedom of interpretation, regardless of your skill level.
Alongside the rulebook, this is what you need to play:
- A standard deck of 52 cards plus one joker
- One six sided die (1D6)
- A small trinket like a small figurine to be used to mark your location
- coloring utensils of your choice, such as pencils, watercolors inks etc. Art programs like Krita, Clip Art Studio and others like it are also allowed.
- A sketchbook, or sheets of paper. You can also try drawing on a single sheet of paper.
This game is meant to be played at a relaxed pace, one game can last from half an hour to longer, and can be replayed endlessly thanks to the games randomized nature.
During the game you can listen to any music that suits a dreamy atmosphere, such as dream pop music, OSTs of video games that center around dreams like NiGHTS into Dreams, Klonoa series, Cavern of Dreams, or any of your personal favorite music that is fitting for traveling through dreams.
The art within the rulebook was made with Clip Studio, art for the cover was made with Affinity Photo, and the layout was made with Affinity Publisher. The faint image of a castle in background of the cover image is public domain.
